OUR MINISTRIES
Special Needs
The Special Needs Adult Ministry at Calvary is a safe and loving environment where God's unconditional love is modeled.
This is done through establishing a consistent routine, creative teaching, individual participation, music, movement and art. Each student is encouraged to participate and is considered an important part of the class family as well as the family of God.
Sunday Mornings - 9:45-10:45am - Room 106
Join
us every Sunday morning for worship and interactive Bible Study and
fellowship. We open the class with prayer and music. Students
are encouraged to participate in the lessons. Class size is
usually 35+ students along with five to seven volunteer staff.
Wednesday Evenings - 6:45pm-8:00pm - Room 106
We
gather again in prayer, worship and study to praise God and learn
more of His Word. Wednesday evening is a relaxed atmosphere
and students take a more active role in classroom activities. We
have special prayer group time where we pray specifically for each
other. Birthdays and other significant dates are celebrated.
Praise and Worship - Third Saturday of the month
- 6:00-8:00pm - Sanctuary
Once each month we sponsor an outreach praise
and worship service. Differently-abled
adults along with caregivers and families from all over Grand Rapids
gather with us in the Sanctuary for music and a Bible message. Lots
of singing from the heart is presented to God for His pleasure.
After the service we go down to the Fellowship Hall for cookies and
soft drinks.
Special Events
We love to get together outside of
church for picnics, hayrides, bowling parties and other great stuff.
We enjoy each other's company and have lots of fun!
