Prayer and Fasting for the Unemployed
Thursday, May 15 at 12:00pm in the Chapel
On Thursday, we will have a time of prayer and fasting for those among us who are unemployed. Whether you are in need of employment or you would like to pray for an unemployed loved one, please join us as we seek God and pray for work. Please be prepared to fast from the corresponding meal you would eat during this time. If you are physically unable to fast from food, please choose something else to fast from such as television or exercise for a period of time prior to this time of prayer.

Baby Dedication
Baby Dedication is an outward display of your commitment to raise your children in the ways of the Lord. Sunday, May 18 at 4:30pm in the Chapel is the next opportunity for you to participate in this service. For more information, contact Angie Reynolds at 956-6315.

Chef Rod and the entire Culinary Staff would like to welcome you to the last Wednesday Fellowship Dinner of the 2007-2008 season. To celebrate a wonderful year of fellowship and service, Chef will prepare Calvary's traditional end of the year WFD menu: grilled steak with baked potatoes, broccoli with cheese sauce and super-sweet white corn nibbletts. Chef will purchase chuck tenders, season them perfectly and grill them to your liking. A full salad bar will be available for your enjoyment.

For this special dinner, the family discount will be suspended. All adult meals will be $5.00, and all children's meals will be $3.00.

Join Youth for Christ – Grand Rapids on Wednesday, May 14 from 12:00-1:00pm to learn how YFC-GR is impacting students for Christ in our community. This is a free event and a light lunch will be served. If you would like to attend, kindly respond to info@gryfc.org or call 477-9460. Parking Guides Needed

• Can you help one Sunday morning a month?

Our Parking Guides are looking for a few more team members to assist directing traffic.  If you want to know more about this great way to get involved please contact Cy at 257-5244.

Wheelchairs Needed
Calvary is currently looking at updating our fleet of wheelchairs.  If you have any that you would like to donate to Calvary Church, please contact Earl Jenkins at ext. 5117.

Operation Christmas Child Fellowship
Do you ever wonder what happened to the shoeboxes you prepared for Operation Christmas Child last fall?  Join us on May 20 at 7:00pm to find out. Crossroads Church (8331 Myers Lake Rd., Rockford) will host a Celebration Fellowship event which will include stories of the transformation of children’s lives through hearing the Gospel and receiving a shoebox full of gifts. Marge Kalkstine, a Calvary member, will also be honored for her many years of service to this ministry.  Mark your calendar and be part of the celebration.

Summer Service Project
Remember how much fun you had serving on Neighbor Day?  An opportunity to continue to serve exists at Pregnancy Resource Center to assist with cleaning and other office related projects on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-8:00pm throughout the summer.  If you love to serve God through hands-on projects, contact Becky Buick at 776-3840, ext. 116 for details.

Open Position
The Pregnancy Resource Center has an opening for a Director of Development to be responsible for major and annual gifts. Contact Don MacKenzie for more information about the position.

Life Walk
You can bring hope and encouragement to women and families in Grand Rapids by gathering pledges to participate in LifeWalk 2008 on Saturday, June 14.  This is a great event for families, small groups or Adult Congregations to put feet to your pro-life convictions.  There are several walk locations and different organizations you can support.  Detailed pledge forms are available at the Information Center.  For more information, contact Barb VanderPloeg at ext. 5086.
